These were perfect for my husband's old office chair that had the casters broken and cracked so he could barely move around his desk. He was so excited when he realized I had to replace them and he's on the road again! They made the chair a little higher than before and he likes it too. They are very heavy and very well made and feel like they will last forever. His chair is standing, but there is no rug except the rug, and it rolls beautifully on both. They don't seem to hurt any service the way they're made, so they'll still work if we transfer them to solid wood.
