Nice introduction to acrylic pour painting-colors are not as defined as expected-Starry night

This is my first experience with pouring paint as I usually use standard acrylic with a paintbrush. The paint by Aureuo is thin and ready to pour. Each bottle will need a good shake before use. It comes with a small vial of silicone that is designed to create the cells within the paint. I tried it both with the silicone and without it. The colors are blending together more than I expected and I cannot see the defined separation in the colors. Perhaps, it is my technique but the blue just seems to envelop the light lavender. I also learned that silicone does not always dry well and raises to the surface and can have a greasy texture. This isn't ideal but I have not found that this is occurring noticeably yet. I prefer using the paints without the silicone and am getting nice results this way as well. They do blend together if over mixed regardless if silicone is in the mixture on not. They also seem to blend together even if they are not over mixed. I will continue to work with the paints and will likely order again in another color because I like the consistency and overall appeal. However, I expected the individual paints to stand out more.
