As a general practitioner (and unintentional Air Cast user), the sock worn over a fiberglass cast, Air Cast or Cam Walker should reach the device it is under, which is usually nearby of the upper portion should end of the lower leg for fractures, severe sprains, or Achilles tendon injuries since shorter devices dig into the lower legs.
