I'd just like to start by saying this is a product designed for CoolerMaster fans but uses universal connectors (ARGB Gen 2 connector to be precise). thought this product was a scam because it didn't work with my ASUS TUF motherboard even though it claims to be supported. YOU MUST CONNECT THE CONTROLLER TO THE COMPUTER WITH THE MINI USB CABLE! After connecting everything to the controller (including SATA power supply), you only need to connect it via USB once for about 1 minute to install the drivers. After that, you don't need to connect it again. Since I didn't have a USB port, I just plugged it in with the side panel open and pulled it out when it was done. The controller does not come with a mini USB cable. So if you don't already have one, you'll need it if you want it to work with your motherboard
