Applying the mixture to a sit-up kayak I didn't like it that much at first. In central Texas, the outside temperature in early November was about 80 degrees, the sun came out and warmed up. The jars were stored in my shed and the temperature of the resin and activator was probably around 50 degrees. I mixed some of this stuff up in the sink and put it in my kayak. The stuff didn't really foam. Implementation: The fact that the outside temperature is 80 degrees does not mean that the foam works. I found a pan big enough to put a glass in at a time (wife was watching TV at the time :). Light the stove and bring the temperature of the resin and activator to around 80 degrees (shake in circular motions to mix hot and cold, I had to turn the stove on 3 times per jar). I measured the temperature with my hands. Nothing scientific. I unscrewed the top of the foam can and had to rip it open quickly. Tries to foam. I used the sink to blend the 2 together. Wear gloves, this material sticks to everything and is difficult to remove. Make sure the hole you put this stuff in is big enough (mine is about the size of my head and still has this stuff all over the kayak). Everything worked fine at first, but after the first batch the kayak started to heat up. Everything else worked like clockwork in my kayak. It filled the entire back of my two seater kayak. After foaming, it becomes hard. I can still scratch it with my fingernail. But to fill the gap and stabilize the outer casing, it did a great job. I just bought a second batch to fill the front of my boat. Hope that helps. Happy foaming :) The second time I bought it I didn't need to heat it as I left it in the sun. The kayak was also in the sun and everything worked great. I stirred a little and then poured. After pouring 2-3 shots this time, I took the kayak off the canopy it was leaning against and turned it over to spread the foam over the entire surface. It still worked great, but this time it got into my hands. they turned black. I rubbed them against a brick wall and the blackness got worse. It hasn't gone away completely, but not as often.
