I stand excited. A new keg of craft beer stands in front of me, waiting to be poured. I ask for it. A droplet of condensate flows down the barrel, as if in anticipation of things to come. I take a step forward and prepare for the miracle that is about to unfold before me. I've been there several times with other barrels. Caring partner each and every one. Each is unique and authentic in its presentation. Each of us supports the other by sharing many good and sometimes bad moments. I left the sleeve square in the lug, perfectly aligned with the spline. With anticipation and dreams of sweet nectar, I turn to begin the magic. Immediately an angry volley of beer surprises me in the face! What is this nightmare?! I instinctively turn off the faucet and step away from my partner in this perpetual dance, surprised, shocked, sad and scared. What happened? did i hurt him Was there something wrong with that? Is something wrong with me? I stand there for a long time, unable to comprehend what just happened. The precious heart's blood from the cask dripping from my face clouds my vision. I wipe it off and start collecting. I take a cautious step forward. He's sitting in front of me. Not a whiff of freshly discharged rage, not a whiff of retribution, just a little puddle of beer under the rim. I lean over and inspect the cask. Impeccable presentation. What happened? Is it me, did I somehow twist the screed? I look at the screed in my hand. Nothing wrong. Every detail is there, not broken and in good condition. I inspect the tap lever. What is that?! It works great. detach from the barrel to which it was never attached. Delivered to me in the lowered and locked position! What monster could do that?! Such a simple yet wicked trick for the clueless heart of a man on the verge of ecstasy. Betrayed by those I trust the most. 5 Stars. Good product. Good price.
