I put these floor mats in my Chevy Cobalt after the factory mats rubbed through a hole in my right heel. I was looking for something that would have a lot of surface options due to the presence of the clutch pedal and running boards. Many floor mats do not allow the clutch pedal to be unclipped and create interference. These mats were the best I could find for this car and I am happy with them. I simply laid my old carpet on top of the new one and cut it to fit. The result was a perfect fit and with the help of a utility knife it all came out very quickly and cleanly. I'm sure it will be easy to cut even with household scissors. Unlike other mats, they have extra large handles to keep them in place. Channels are good for melting snow and water. There was a slight rubber smell when I opened it, but it didn't bother me, but I work on diesel trucks all day and I'm used to the smell. They're still not as good as WeatherTech or Husky, but I didn't want to spend that kind of money on floor mats for a 12-year-old, 212,000-mile car. If you are looking for something similar to more expensive well-known brands, this is it.
