When using the USB power adapter included with the sync module, this bracket prevents the pins from entering the socket. This is different from other designs of the same type. It's a poor design that can't even be properly assembled out of the box. I used a dremel and utility knife to modify it to allow the power supply to pass through unimpeded (so it works just like other timing bracket designs). My mod has a snug fit for the power supply if I plan to install it on the top outlet in the future. 3 stars because it works but not unchanged out of the box.
