I really like these bungee locks as they are much easier to wrap around things like a lamp post or tree when there is no bike rack. The fewer keys I have the better, so a combination is the best way. This style can still be clipped compared to the U-lock, but if your bike is relatively cheap I recommend it in place of the U-lock. We've been using it for two years now. Seriously, if your bike is over $200 then just get a U-lock, otherwise it's a good buy.
