I ended up drilling out the nut to actually mount the braided hose. otherwise it worked. The burr/tube side of the hose fits perfectly onto the tube, the silver stamping of the hose fits perfectly. the nut will NOT go FURTHER through the braid. It was a little frustrating but it's a cheap part so you get what you pay for I guess. As a result, mine worked with some update mods: the fitting is stupidly leaking. Trash, luckily I spotted it after running into the store before bed to check something else and sniffing the gas.
