If you're looking for super soft, fluffy, ultra plush towels, you've come to the right place. These are not high quality towels for bathroom use. I bought these to use as a rag in the garage and to wax my car. When used for these purposes, they work perfectly. Softness: They're slightly prickly and hard right out of the box. But after the first wash and dry they got a bit softer (I used liquid fabric softener in the washing machine). They are thicker, softer, and absorb moisture better than red rags. I highly recommend cleaning your dryer's lint filter every 15 minutes the first time you use the dryer. Dimensions: The dimensions of the towels straight out of the box are as promised, 14 x 17 inches. Washed in warm water and dried on low, they measure 13" x 15". Final Thoughts: It would be easy to criticize these towels for not being soft enough and for shrinking too much after washing. But remember, they only cost fifty (50) cents each. Yes, regular red rags can be bought cheaper. But red rags are not so thick, soft and absorbent. Considering the price I paid I think these towels are excellent value for money.
