I was afraid that this helmet could not be opened. I put it on the wrong way round with the latch, and I'm not kidding, I almost had to cut the straps on this helmet. Luckily my husband force it open but I wouldn't have been able to do it myself. We joke I wear a helmet all day. High quality brands would not have this problem and would not engage the latch incorrectly. Also, the plastic front panel is thin and easy to remove. I can't imagine it protecting anything in the event of an accident.
