Review on FSP Solution Certification Supply FSP300 60GHS by Jnis Griis ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The product is of good quality, there is only one minor defect.

The block is installed in a computer from Depo Computers. AMD 4000+, rather gluttonous processor, GE-Force 7600 GS video card, not counting the network card, there was an extra. HDD. Heavy toys for the times of 2022-2022 pulled with a bang, the throttle only rustled to the beat of calculations when rendering graphics at peak moments. It worked for about 6 years, almost without turning off. Later, the computer began to turn on from standby mode not the first time, sometimes it did not turn off after work was completed, I had to press and hold for a couple of seconds. Decided to take it apart. On the PWM controller board (controls the power part, switching transistors) there was a small drip near the 10V x 100 uF capacitor, replaced it with a similar capacitance, but rated for 16V and changed all large capacitances with a slight increase - instead of 1000uF (Teapo is not the best brand of capacitors , but even then they worked more than their term, given the increased ripple of switching power supplies and temperature conditions) - 1500 uF in standby 5V mode, instead of 2200-3300 uF, etc. (Installed by Jamicon) The difficulty was in soldering - to pick out the capacitor case from the board from the sealant. But everything turned out perfect. I also replaced the input ones, they were rated at 85 degrees, set the same capacitance and voltage, but at 105 degrees - this is especially important for secondary circuits. You shouldn’t be too zealous with overestimating the capacitance - it won’t be better, and due to the lack of a thermistor, the input diode bridge can be disabled in the input circuits, it is unacceptable to increase more than 470 uF! After assembly, I checked it through a 100W lamp connected in series, when connected to the network, it should flash brightly and go out (in extreme cases, it barely glows) I immediately checked the standby voltage - it was 5.09V - which was within the normal range, connected further as expected, by analogy articles launching power supply without a computer - connected to the 12V line - yellow wire, GND - black lamp for 21W 12V. - closed the wire to start - all voltages are normal. After reassembly everything works perfectly! :)

Pros
  • Reliable power supply, real 300W, voltage drops in the output circuits are within the normal range. Works almost non-stop, after the cap. replacing large tanks for more than 6 years!
Cons
  • The capacitance of the input capacitors was slightly underestimated, 2 pcs at 200V x 330 uF, it could have been a little more, but because of the large fan, it was installed according to the fit-not fit criteria.
