I have Rheumatoid Arthritis which affects my hands, wrists, elbows and more. Getting ice cream can be extremely difficult and even painful for me. I have tried many brands of shovels. Now I only use Zyllis shovels. They have a comfortable handle that's good for me to hold on to. I don't feel like I have to bend my wrist or elbow to scoop ice cream. It also works great when making very hard ice cream or sorbets. You can scoop a round ice ball instead of scraping it with other balls. Easy to wash. I wash by hand. I would use the top shelf in the dishwasher. I used to have one that gradually damaged the coating on the bucket. I think it's because I put it in the cutlery basket in the dishwasher. The coating buckled and began to peel off. We have had this shovel for 13 years. I would recommend this for a gift, bachelorette party, party favour, etc. They last for many years.
