Great resin, first time resin users will need manual

As an early adopter of the resin, I have researched various types of resins and chose this one for its non-toxicity, ease of use, 1:1 ratio, clear cure and excellent reviews Epoxy decided. However, I quickly found that while this resin is wonderful, I needed some pointers and some basic knowledge before I could reap the benefits of this resin. However, since this resin is considered high quality, it is very unlikely that you will have many new resin users purchasing this brand. But just in case, I want to give some basic tips. Some of these references may seem like repetitions of what is available on the company's website and in the general epoxy literature, but as I look at this information bit by bit, I think about the applicability of the information, so I decided to add a few important ones write. Please excuse any grammatical errors as I am writing from my phone app: - Use the correct materials: 1.) Buy or purchase the correct size disposable mixing cups/containers. For example, if you are using 1 liter of resin, buy 1.5 liters with the correct dimensions to get the exact 1:1 ratio. Trust me, you don't want to invest in a quality resin and then screw it up by mis-measuring resin or hardener. This is science. 2.) Buy the right stirrers. Don't try to mix it with plastic or anything that breaks easily. Consider using a thick wooden mixing stick to mix the resin and hardener quickly and efficiently. You don't want to spend six minutes mixing and end up with lots of bubbles in the final product. trust me i know. 3.) Use a small flashlight to get rid of the bubbles. If you can't afford it, use a lighter, but you'll have to work quickly to bring air to the surface and remove bubbles. 4.) If you're doing small projects, just lay down some wax paper or any type of work station cover that can be thrown away. Larger projects should be done outdoors or in a large ventilated area. 5.) Use gloves and protective gear. Although it's a non-toxic epoxy, you can use it as a material to coat, shine, or mold. The last thing you want is sticky fingers when trying to work on your art. In fact, I find disposable gloves ideal as I can remove them with no regrets and put on a new pair without worrying about being overly careful not to get tar on them. Mix slowly, efficiently and always pour carefully. You'll get the hang of it, but casting (resin, hardener, and mixes) is a personal experience, like driving a car. Allow time (1-2 days) to dry before touching it. Sure you could have touched it before without leaving fingerprints, but why would you do that when you know it's still healing? A fully cured piece takes about 3 days, so estimate the time by thinking about how much better it will look if you give it time. - Lastly, remember to be patient when doing this. Art takes time, and while resin may not seem like art to a beginner, it can be if you have the patience and make it yourself.
