I wasn't sure I should try this coating as my joint was larger than advertised but I'm glad I did. It covers the main moving parts, leaving only the legs open. The hooks are on elastic cords so I was able to secure the lid even if it didn't reach the back of the truck. Considering the price and the fact that my connector will not be exposed to the elements, I am very satisfied with my purchase. The material is dense and even though I've stretched it to the maximum, it hasn't ripped yet. For reference, the legs are 32 inches apart, measured on the outside of each. I've been using it for 2 months, the temperature is up to 118.
