This definitely is gift better suited for a toddler. This drum set was no match for my no holds bar 6 year old. The sitting stool didn't last long in my house. If you're children are feral like mine and break things easily. This toy is not for you. The stand alone drum falls easily. My child loved for a week and then realized it was not sturdy enough for him. Do not recommend unless you have a small child that is not rough on toys.
