I was initially skeptical about this collar - several people have recommended it, but thought my 80 pound German Shepherd mix would work well with a front leash harness. I was so used to him pulling and responding to people, other dogs, and wild animals that I thought he would. As he got older he began to show signs of dominance and protection and I needed a tool to communicate with him. Our first notched collar walk was like night and day - a very different dog. I hardly have to apply any pressure to communicate with him. He does a great job with the collar! It's a little tricky to put on and take off, but that's a minor inconvenience for such a powerful tool.
