At 2.8 at maximum magnification, it is almost impossible to keep focus with your hands, the depth of field is a couple of millimeters. A nice bonus was the ability to focus on infinity and take portraits and cats. The only negative is a slightly backlash focusing ring, but judging by the reviews of other owners, this is a serial one.
