Review on Tire Michelin Primacy 3 215/55 R18 99V by Stanislaw Buzala ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

The item is ok but not fully compliant with the description.

I bought it to replace a worn out MICHELIN Primacy HP on a ford focus 2, factory size 205/55, r16. Rubber production 2022, balanced well. There is an opinion that "primacy 3" is a replacement for the outdated "primacy HP" line, but I cannot agree with this. Primacy 3 is noticeably quieter, more comfortable going through joints and pits. It still brakes well and holds almost no squeak in corners. BUT there is no “drive”, the steering wheel has become lighter, the accuracy of reactions has disappeared, the feedback has become weaker. Behavior is similar to mild winter non-studding. The sidewall, by the way, has become even thinner than on HP - I look out for holes on the roads with double diligence.

Pros
  • Quiet, comfortable, good grip
Cons
  • Poor feedback on the steering wheel, there is a slight delay during fast maneuvers.
