The pressure reducer valve body is metal and the upper half is plastic. The red handle is of course made of plastic, but the area under the red handle is also made of plastic. Maybe that's how it differs from other valves on the Revain website. Although the description doesn't say it's plastic, the buyer should be warned, it is! I installed it and it seems to be working with no leaks. The original part was metal except for the red handle. It was the part that broke under my compressor. I was happy to have exact fitting replacement parts but I prefer metal and it would be nice if that was mentioned in the description as well.
