I bought this Dewalt compressor about 12 or 15 years ago and the regulator has failed and you can no longer buy a rebuild kit. So I cut out the old one, drilled and sealed the ends with tape, put in several threaded nipples and installed a new regulator. The reason I gave it 4 stars is because the first one ripped while screwing the nipple in so I had to order another. .Overall it works great.

The pressure reducer valve body is metal and the upper half is plastic. The red handle is of course made of plastic, but the area under the red handle is also made of plastic. The pressure regulator on my air compressor is starting to leak and air is escaping the reservoir. I searched for the make and model of the compressor but couldn't find the make of the regulator. This part does not fit my 6 gallon Bostich Pancake Compressor. to original parts 4 threads. This will result in the part not sealing when oriented as it should be. If you keep turning it, it will be about 60 degrees off target, leaving the red cap pointing toward the tank and making the gauge unreadable unless you're upside down.
