Good Nailer for the Price

The NuMax SFN64 Pneumatic 16-Gauge finish nailer worked well for the cost. I used it to install about 800 nails thus far, and so far so good.

Pros
  • So much better than the H Freight models. Better price and better quality.
Cons
  • May not be compatible with certain types of nails

On my second one for my opinion

The one I purchased two months ago is my second nailer from this company. I purchased the first one 11 years ago. For the price I think it is a great nailer for an occasional use. Used them all for trim work.

Pros
  • The 360-degree adjustable exhaust port allows you to direct the air away from the user and work surfaces
Cons
  • Corded design may limit accessibility in certain areas

I used this air nailer twice and after driving about 8-10 nails into the wood, it did not drive the nails all the way into the wood. I increased the psi to 110 lb which is max for this tool, after a few more nails the o-ring on top came out from around the exhaust cap. I unscrewed the exhaust cap, re-seated the o-ring and after a few more nails it came back out and still did not drive nails all the way into the wood!

Pros
  • Designed for decorative trim, furniture trim, rail moulding, crown moulding, window casing, door installation, base boards, chair rails, picture frame assembly, and hobbies and crafts
Cons
  • May not be the best option for DIYers on a tight budget

So far so good. on my review.

I've only run about 200 2-1/2" nails through the unit installing quarter-round baseboard trim but it's working well so far. Appears to be pretty good value for the price.

Pros
  • The straight design of the nailer allows for precision and accuracy in tight spaces
Cons
  • Corded design limits mobility on the job site

Excellent nailer for the price and though it doesnt have .

I was building some cedar planters for my property and bought the Porter Cable 3 gun + compressor kit @ HD. The 16ga PC gun is a nightmare. Jammed for every 50 nails and last few nails always jammed. Got fed up of it after clearing the jam 3-4 times and started looking for other finish nailers. Found this gem on Revain and with the price & prime next day, thought I would give it a shot. Received it today and oiled it a bit as per instructions, loaded 100 nails and went to work. Not a single…

Pros
  • The tool-free jam release mechanism saves time on the job and minimizes downtime
Cons
  • Prone to bending nails, which can cause damage to the wood surface

A Must Have Tool for my opinion

I do a lot of wood working and repair projects but never thought I needed a nail gun of any sort boy was I wrong this nail gun makes projects much easier if it is making a cabinet, putting up paneling or molding this nail gun gets the job done fast and easy and looks great. Being able to use 3/4 inch up to 2&1/2 inch makes this a very versatile tool and for the price it can't be beat.

Pros
  • The nailer has a convenient depth adjustment wheel that provides precise control
Cons
  • May not be the best option for use in DIY or home projects

Works good. on my review.

I would've given it 5 stars, if it wasn't for it jamming so often. I'm sending it back. But I will probably get the model the works with staples. Nice piece of equipment.

Pros
  • It features a no-mar tip that protects the surface from scratches or damage
Cons
  • Requires regular oiling and cleaning for optimal performance

Easy to use, fast and efficient

I always hated hammering in finishing nails, the trim bounces around, the nails don't hold, it's slow, and turns out ugly. This really helps! One shot and it's in, plus holds well. Works great for trim and little wood pieces. I got it to install hardboard in my basement (think pegboard). Problem is that the hardboard is more like thick paper than wood, and the nails go through it too easily. I eventually got it working by adjusting the tool's adjustments and dropping psi below recommended…

Pros
  • The NuMax SFN64WN is affordable compared to other finish nailers in its category
Cons
  • Not always reliable in cold or damp weather conditions

Can't Go Wrong for the Price

Bought to nail up trim after doing a lot of overhead hand nailing. Wish that I had bought it sooner. This thing makes projects so much easier, honestly, if you have a compressor buy this thing!I've found you need to keep the pressure high, 90+ in order to get a nail that sinks. Although, it may be my compressor (Harbor Frieght 100psi pancake) and/or the fact I'm shooting 2 1/2" finishers.Regardless, for the money, this thing rocks and is worth a try.

Pros
  • It comes with a sturdy carrying case that protects the machine during transportation and storage
Cons
  • Not suitable for use with all types of wood or building materials

I am a contractor and I own 3 other 16 gauge finish nailers

I own 3 other 16 gauge finish nailers that are used weekly, 2 Bostitch and a Porter Cable. We needed a 4th nailer due to one of our old ones leaking air and having other issues. This gun works amazingly, for around $40-$50 you cannot beat this deal. It has not had any issues in the month or so I've been using it, probably has around 40 hours of use into it already. No jams, leaks, and the depth adjustment knob works fine. In my opinion this gun is of the same quality as my Bostitch, would've…

Pros
  • The ergonomic grip reduces hand strain and ensures comfort during use
Cons
  • May not fit comfortably in smaller hands

GREAT TOOL - GREAT PRICE - I LOVE IT!

Never had a pneumatic gun before - was a bit hesitant, but now wonder why I waited so long. This does the job so VERY well and is very dependable. A word of caution - once nails have been driven - removing them is almost (if not totally) impossible, even with half of the nail exposed - this goes in REALLY tight!Well worth every penny I paid for it!

Pros
  • It comes with a clear manual that guides you through the installation and usage process
Cons
  • Not always suitable for use with thin or delicate materials

Not bad but. on my review.

I think this is a good nail gun for the value. However, brad nails strike off to side slightly creating sparks. I think this just may be this particular nail gun I received but I'm returning it.

Pros
  • The NuMax SFN64WN can accommodate both wire and plastic nails, making it versatile
Cons
  • Can be difficult to use for extended periods due to weight and recoil

Value was there for my opinion

Like? It’s an air hammer, to use to drive in finish nails. I had a Bostich for many years…when I got it out for my last project, it wasn’t working properly. I purchased this as a replacement, and so far, it’s done all that I’ve asked of it. Besides that, the price was very reasonable.

Pros
  • The oil-free design eliminates the need for routine maintenance, saving time and money
Cons
  • Not designed for use with larger or thicker nails

Pretty solid little nailer

Purchased this to get the extra length (2 1/2 inch) and gauge of nails vs. brads. The brads are fine for interior and craft work, but for other lumber projects you need a nailer. I got this on a close out (or something) for $49; a total steal in my opinion. I'm a home owner and it has worked great on my 5 ft redwood fence I built for the front yard. Had one jam (think it was due to a snag on the nail head from nail mfg), not from the gun itself. Ejected that bad nail, and all the rest in the…

Pros
  • Nailers
Cons
  • May not be the best choice for beginners or novice woodworkers

Couldn't get it adjusted.

I liked the way the strips of nails load. Simpler than other nailers I've had. Unfortunately, I couldn't get it adjusted to have nails flush with surface. No matter what pressure or thumbwheel adjustment, and no matter how soft or dense the wood, the nails were always 'proud' of the surface. Alas. I returned it rather than have to drive in every nail with a hammer.

Pros
  • Tools & Home Improvement
Cons
  • Not ideal for use in cramped or tight spaces

Decent nailer for the money

Works decently for nailing wood trim but does not like nailing hardy 1x4 siding as much. It also tends to leave the nail heads sticking out a bit even when adjusted and air pressure turned upUpdate: over a year later and numerous jobs, gun still shoots like the day I got it. A trick for the hardy i learned, hold the nose against the board very firmly and it does ok. Doesn't leave nail heads poking up anymore either? Overall I would and will buy another when this one gives out.

Pros
  • The quick-release nose allows for easy access to remove jammed nails
Cons
  • Takes time to set up the air compressor and nail gun before use

I bought this and the NuMax floor nailer to put down 3/4 " hardwood flooring. I figured at this price they only had to last for one job. When it arrived I was seriously surprised by the build quality. And so far I've not had a single jam or misfire. Depth adjust works as expected. Unless you're a professional using a nailer all day every day, this is the right one to buy. I can't imagine paying 3 times as much for a different brand. These numax nailers seem equivalent to all the ones I…

Pros
  • It has a reversible belt hook that provides convenient storage while working
Cons
  • Heavy enough to cause pain or discomfort in the user's hand or arm over time

great tool best in my review

I am on my second one. the first was used to replace flooring in LR and DR. It drove 4300 nails with only 2 jams. After sitting idol for several years, it stopped working, so I bought a new one.

Pros
  • The magazine windows allow you to monitor the number of nails available while working
Cons
  • May require frequent adjustments to ensure proper nailing depth

Great for the price. A time saver!

The negative reviews made me wondered and I'm not a carpenter, but it save me many hours putting up a wood fence where I used 1.1/4 and 1.1/2 nails. I didn't have a single problem. Yes it could be smaller and lighter but not a complain I have.

Pros
  • Includes 16 gauge straight finish nails (500 count each: 1", 1-1/2", 2", 2-1/2")
Cons
  • Requires frequent cleaning and maintenance to function properly

Revainrating 5 out of 5

No complaints good for me

Fantastic value with this one. Oddly enough it has the exact same housing as my bostik it replaced. Guts might be different and of course no carry/storage case, but this one was barely a quarter the cost. Fired 2" nails through chair railing with zero issues at 100psi. For those complaining about the depth, you need to FIRMLY hold it against the surface otherwise it will not drive the nails all the way in. First 2 i shot in holding loosely were even with the surface and slightly raised, after…

Pros
  • The lightweight and compact design makes it easy to transport to different job locations
Cons
  • Not always the most precise option on the market
