If you first lay everything out and arrange the poles as shown in the picture in the instructions, assembly is easy but will take around 1 hour. Scratching bars as shown in the picture oh and I couldn't fit the last one either, it was very difficult not sure if mine was defective as the only option would probably be to bend the metal. Also, it was very affordable compared to pet store prices.
