This was a very easy install after I hit the bracket almost to the bottom. I left the fifth wheel connector plugged in a couple of times and pulled too far forward after disconnecting. Oops. Last time I broke the lid retainer and bent the strut on my 2006 Sierra 3500. I went to pull the fifth wheel and found the connection was broken so the brake connection came and went. I was lucky enough to bungee for a short trip. It is clear that the plug had to be replaced. I never paid attention to this before deciding to replace it, but I was glad I didn't have to redo the wiring. If I hadn't damaged the mount it probably would have taken the 10 minutes others have mentioned. My rear harness connection at the original connector had dried dirt that required a lot of exercise and patience to remove. I think you could easily damage the side of the seat belt if you are in a hurry. Finally, I was glad they contained dielectric grease, especially. for a rear suspension side that will likely never see the light of day again.
