Best Jikatabi I've Tried

Seriously the Best I've Tried. varied tasks. I wear them to work at the zoo, framing all sorts of structures, climbing, roofing, or just going anywhere. I couldn't find a better shoe and in particular they benefit greatly from the rubberized part. . They are as comfortable as any other cotton tabi and will keep my feet dry when trudging through snow and mud. Additionally, the most expensive waterproof work boots I've ever worn ripped off my feet within a matter of days (somewhat a combination of my stride, the nature of my job, and the fact that I work all the time). They hold I think because it's probably nitrile rubber which is known for its excellent strength and flexibility. I'm only deducting a star for a couple of things: 1) Most shoes should be rubberized. Preferably the whole foot, but at least the whole foot up to about the ankle will greatly improve their functionality. As it stands, you can only walk on a puddle about 1 inch deep without banging your boot. I'm not sure exactly why that doesn't apply to snow. I can walk in knee deep snow and feel great. Probably due to the fact that it is in a solid rather than a liquid state. 2) There is no size listed anywhere on the boot - at least not in actual numbers that I can read. There is calligraphy on the bottom that I can't read. I like having a few different sizes so I can wear thicker wool socks in cold temperatures, but if they manage to get mixed up, telling which left side goes with which right will be a headache. 3) They are larger than usual. I have worn many tabi and the size has always been the same. They are a little big and I'm still trying to figure out exactly where my foot is on this particular model. Nevertheless, they are quite comfortable. Apart from these few things, I prefer to wear them on my feet and can 100% recommend them.
