Probably the best hand mixer in terms of design and performance. Although it has a plastic body, it's a bit heavier than most hand mixers, but that gives it a very solid build. The beaters are very thick and strong, as are the dough hooks. Whisks are good too. The controls are intuitive and easy to use. I took it out of the box and used it with no problems without even reading the instructions. If you don't use the pause function, it always starts at a very low setting to avoid splashing. And low is really low. The countdown timer is good. The pause function is also good. If you use the pause function and let it rewind, it will remember the speed you used and go back to that speed and the counter will continue. The LED lighting is a nice feature and I like that it only comes on when the blender is running and when it's paused. When the mixer is turned off, the indicator goes out. On some devices, the indicator lights up when connected to the network and stays on until you turn it off. The rotary pressure regulator works great. You click on it to get the boost feature. Now for the Boost feature: This is the only feature that could be done better. Hitting the boost will bring the mixer up to maximum speed whenever you hit the knob, no matter what speed you're using. For example, if you are in the first low speed, acceleration will increase it to the ninth speed. A better design would be to just increase it forward by a speed or two. If you're blending dry ingredients on level one and need a little more power, switch to level two instead of speed or you'll be in for a big surprise. In my opinion, the boost is not necessary at all. Just choose it. I compared this blender to two of the leading brands that start with the letters "K" and "S". This faucet surpasses them in design, function and quality. I have used both other brands. If this blender lasts, it will be a lot better. Unfortunately, a lot of electronics are used in all the leading brands of mixers these days to get all these great features. If the electronics in this blender stand the test of time, I hope to use them for many years to come. It's not as simple as a mechanical switch and speed dial anymore. The blender is also fairly quiet for a blender of this size. It doesn't have a harsh or high-pitched whine. In terms of performance, a blender like this is a C-brand but doesn't have many useful features. This blender is expensive, but if you want a powerful handheld blender with lots of features and a professional look, then this is the one for you. Everything, including the cord, packs into the storage case that the blender is attached to. This unit has a very strong cord that pivots and locks left and right of the mixer. The plug is also top notch. There is a hole in the center for easy grip. Make believe you are in Europe. I would recommend this blender to anyone except maybe an elderly person with arthritis in their hands who may be struggling to gain extra weight. While I wouldn't call it heavy, it's definitely heavier than a regular hand mixer.
