We wanted to replace an aging florescent fixture in our spare bedroom with one that provided a little more light. This fit the bill perfectly. The one we were replacing was a 2 tube fixture mounted on a vaulted ceiling.The light arrived in great shape, with no damage. The installation was a little difficult due to the height of the ceiling (I was working on scaffolding) and I had to install drywall anchors towards the ends of the unit. If I had to do this on a ladder, it would have been an even larger pain.Once installed, the light worked perfectly. I like the safety clips that secure the diffuser. It should prevent the diffuser from falling in the event of an earthquake. While having carpet installed in our loft, the vibration from the kicker vibrated the diffuser for the light in the utility room loose and it fell off and broke. I will be replacing that fixture with one of these, as well. (I just placed the order!)The light output from this fixture brightens up the room quite a bit. Colors appear to be brighter and more natural. There is no buzzing or flickering in the light. It is NOT installed on a dimmer, just a normal wall switch. I figure I will never have to change bulbs in that room again.06/02/21: Received and installed the second one in the utility room. This one was more of a pain to install as I did not have the upward slope of the ceiling to give me the working room. Trying to get the lead wires connected while holding the fixture in place was the major problem. If they made the hole for the wires larger, it would be easier to attach the fixture to the ceiling, then make the connections and shove them back through the hole. I also noticed that the soldered wire connections were coated with RTV to aid in keeping them attached.
