Received as a gift so can't comment on ease of cleaning and durability. It's MUCH softer than the old duckbills we used 20 years ago when I had kids that age. I wanted to comment on the recipient's reaction. She was delighted! Obviously in the circles of the new moms she travels with, this is the MOST duckbill bib to wear these days. It's made in Sweden (actually I think MADE in Sweden but I forgot to check the label) so you don't have to worry that the base material contains melamine or some other toxic substance and you don't have to worry make material get inside. fragile and peeling around your baby/toddler. I will definitely buy it again if needed as a gift.
