My friend bought me an embroidery kit when I was starting out, it had 100 spools of Embroidex thread. At that time I knew nothing about embroidery or even which brand. I was still having trouble feeding the filament. I ended up adjusting the thread to go through a chopstick attached to my embroidery machine to make it work. When I bought my second embroidery machine I also had problems and eventually I realized that the spools with thread on them were the source of the problem. I could either get rid of the brand of embroidery floss I had left or find a way to tweak it to work. That's when I discovered this thread holder. From the day I got it it has made my life so much easier. No more threading problems or breaks because the thread gets caught under the spindle. So this saved the day! The stand is lightweight and looks exactly as pictured. I've watched a video or two to make sure I'm putting it together and using it properly. It even makes it so that I can use the large coils I have. It does not take up much space and can be moved if necessary. You don't have to assemble everything unless you need all 20 at once.
