Review on πŸ”‘ Enhanced KeylessOption Replacement Remote Control Car Key Fob for 56045497 by Scott Welch

Will work as long as

Installing a new FOB is pretty easy to be honest. You just need a keychain that works. Turn the key to the ON position (just turn it gently), on the working fob, hold the UNLOCK button for about 5 seconds, and while holding the UNLOCK button, press the PANIC button. Then release both buttons. simultaneously. You should hear a beep. Then press any button on the new FOB and congratulations, you have programmed a new FOB. These instructions were easy to print out, but instead this company sends you to a website to do it. MEH, okay whatever, just a waste of time. Definitely worth deducting a star for. As for this particular FOB. It's been less than 6 months since I received it. It programmed quickly and had a range of around 10 meters for some time. Much better than my OEM but far from what I was hoping for. But I didn't want to complain about the price. After about 3 months this range was almost at the door. I thought the battery I was using was dead. So I bought a new battery and replaced it. Did not help. Nothing has worked for a week. Not even 6 months, hell, not even 5 months. Thinking he may have lost his programming, today I attempted to reprogram him and the NADA. I can only assume that the built-in chip in the remote control has failed. There are no loose solder joints or other obvious problems. All buttons still have excellent responsiveness, just nothing on them works. So now I'm back to zero. I realize it was only $15 so can't really complain but I didn't even get 5 months. That's why I give 2 stars.
