I bought this item hoping it would be better than the original. I've bought aftermarket parts in the past and found them to be better and this one is no different. The main thing I noticed from direct inspection and visual comparison was that the cable was much thicker than the original. Part. The OEM part was pinched in multiple places causing it to fail due to the severed pinched wires. Seeing this, I decided to wrap tape around the new, thicker cable for extra protection. After installing a new aftermarket part it works correctly and the service warning on my display no longer appears. I recommend trying this part rather than OEM because it looks better.
