I do most housework and car chores myself unless it requires special equipment I don't have. And if I don't have the gear I need, I'd rather buy it, use it, and keep it for myself in case I need it again in the future. This usually pays off tenfold. And with this vacuum pump, it is exactly that. My HVAC at home is getting weak (low pressure, maybe a leak somewhere) and I could just call an HVAC specialist and pay them to fix it, or I could buy this HVAC kit and do it repair it yourself and have fun playing around with your new device. . So I decided to do it myself and got this kit. This kit is a must have for anyone looking to do HVAC or air conditioning work. If you don't have it, don't do it. don't even try anything with your conditioner. This kit has everything you need at a great price. And this is actually my second kit from DMT, the other one was a bit cheaper and could only be used for car air conditioning, and this one can be used not only for car air conditioning but also for filling house HVAC with R410a freon. and that's what I'm planning to do this summer. If you do just that, this kit will easily pay for itself. Otherwise it is exactly the same as in the other set, part number A00ALB. Now for my experience with DMT. Just in time for summer I repaired the air conditioning in my old Subaru WRX with a DMT air conditioning vacuum pump and recharged the system with DMT gauges. All pressure gauges and hoses are neatly stored in a hard case. The whole system was very easy to assemble and connect to my car's air conditioning. The vacuum pump is great and was very easy to attach and use with the kit. By using this kit and nothing else I was able to suck all the moisture out of my vacuum system and maintain the vacuum level. After I finished flushing the A/C I went to the local auto shop and bought a few cans of r134a and was also able to hook up and use gauges to fill the system. This amazing kit comes with everything, all the adapters, you need to complete the whole process from start to finish. My Subaru's air conditioning is working again and blowing very cold air! Great prices and quality tools. Other thoughts. The set comes in a soft carrying case and is packaged very well so I don't have to worry about parts getting lost. Pressure gauges, hoses, plugs are housed in their own molded case, each item has its own place. The kit includes both slotted and threaded connectors for your coolant can (I used threaded connectors). The vacuum pump is very good and comes with an oil bottle that lasts a long time. I have other instruments from this company (I recently bought a smoke machine as well) and have always had good experiences with all of them. So yes, if you need to clean your air conditioning or HVAC, this kit is for you. Just make sure it's the right one for your system and freon type, the quality is excellent I have no complaints about that. I highly recommend this and other tools from this company.
