I never knew that I needed one until I found this.Firstly, it organizes my desk from having a bunch of wires running across it. But secondly, it adds a premium personalized feel to my desk at work. I have my headphones on one side and my telephone headset on the other side. The 3M adhesive supplied with the mount is legitimate and super strong. It's currently attached to a desk with a slight plastic finish that seems a bit porous (for lack of a better term; i.e. not polished smooth) and it still sticks like nobody's business. The aluminum finish is very smooth, giving my desk and elegantly clean appearance.I will likely order another one as a gift to someone in the future and for any other desks that I have. Seeing the prices on some other options out there shocked me.
