These bags are very similar to all craft bags. They aren't that thick and don't have laces. Despite being biodegradable, most recycling sites do not accept plastic and these companies cannot know that the plastic is biodegradable. Biodegradable is slightly different than compostable. Compostable must be composted or it will not decompose in the soil. Biodegradable materials end up decomposing in a landfill without doing anything to them. Therefore, it is easier for consumers to use something biodegradable without any hassle, but some products take much longer to break down naturally. I personally would not use this bag as a bin liner as it is large and does not close.
