Rich feature set for computers and accessories

I have a number of these indoor and outdoor connected devices. Some of them connect to the central switch, others connect the wired network segment to the network. I started with two wAPs used as bridges, but found that this little Mikrotik's range was as good as my Nighthawk AP and extender, while the Mikrotik offered lower and more consistent latency. With its small size, POE power option, low power consumption, outdoor installation, and RouterOS features, I had no problem converting my entire Wi-Fi network to Mikrotik devices, allowing me to expand the network, to cover parts of our property near home. This is not a plug and play consumer device. People with basic networking knowledge might be able to deploy it for basic access point/router functionality, but you should have moderate experience with networks, firewalls and basic knowledge of layer 2 and 3 routing to really use the features. Rich Feature Set: Wi-Fi mesh capabilities include proprietary extensions to integrate Mikrotik switches and routers into the network and connect the network via wired connections. Firewall and QOS options are extensive, VLAN tagging can be done by multiple criteria, L2 and L3 routing daemon options with weighted routing, and more that I haven't experimented with yet. Unfamiliar with RouterOS, I ended up locking myself out and had to do factory resets multiple times. It was tedious, but once I figured out the firewall rule set, interface lists, etc., I was able to fully customize them.
