The length of the chain of this lock is too short to go around the frame + wheel + something strong (rod). You can get it around a frame and a small pole. I would love to return it but to be honest the description said the length and other reviews mentioned it was quite short. I want to point out much more how short this chain actually is, lest others fall into the same position I did. According to the description, it should be 21.5 cm long. That sounds appropriate, but is somewhat misleading. You can see in my photo that you actually have about 6.5 inches of usable space to work with. My understanding is that the locking mechanism is pretty good and the hardened chain is good quality, but neither will help unless you can attach the lock to something that isn't easily compromised. I was hoping to use this on my motorcycle as well. but it doesn't even fit around my rear wheel.
