Review on 🌧️ Silicone Weather Stripping Adhesive by TradeGear by Ken Hamdan

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Smaller and thinner than you would expect, but it works(?) VERY ADJUSTABLE!

As a double panel, this item measures 4 7/8" x 4 1/8" like a double light switch. You can split the panel into two singles. As a single panel for an outlet or light switch, it measures 2 3/8" x 4 1/8". So you can see it doesn't fill the entire light/socket coverage. But that's enough to close the cutout in the wall (at least I did). I don't think you need one item to fill the entire light switch/socket cover. Your goal is to have enough insulation foam to cover the open cutout in the wall around the light switch or outlet. So keep that in mind when taking measurements. If you're looking for something that fills the entire cover, look elsewhere. The Big Box "HD" store has a dark gray weatherproof very thick "grommet" insulator which I found to be overkill for my needs (and pricey for just one). It is designed for outdoor use and I thought it would be overkill for my indoor needs. The main advantages of this item are that it is VERY CUSTOMIZABLE and cheap. In this case, one element fits all. I didn't like that other products give you a certain number of specific configurations so you always have the ones you don't need and can't use. Since this item has all kinds of cutouts, there is a very high chance that any insulator can be used regardless of your needs. I think if you want thicker ones you can double them for each socket. I didn't buy them to see if I could save on heating bills or anything like that. I don't really think sealing the outlets will make a noticeable difference, but some people think it does. I bought them to keep insects, mainly ants, out of the house.
