UPDATE: (original review below) Just wanted to mention that these blinds have been surprisingly well received by my dog after about 3 months of indoor use. I'm really happy with it and based on the 1 inch blinds I can't believe how much extra light is blocked when they are closed and how much extra light they let in with large gaps between each slat when open . I highly recommend them though and I'm glad I waited for shipping and then chose a low quality product that could have been delivered quicker here. made an internal mount and placed it as close to the window as possible to try to avoid dog damage. They are very strong, probably 5 times heavier than the cheap 1 inch vinyl blinds I have. They are very easy to move up and down with one hand. It came with a center support which I didn't want to use because it seemed to be very sold out and my window isn't that wide at 45 inches. There was no sign of sagging or fatigue in the middle, although I could see it at the wider width. Necessary. Very easy installation, even if I used central support it would still be very easy. A very fast person can do it in 10 minutes if they want to. I prefer to just move at my own pace so it was probably 15 or 20 minutes including texting, taking photos and cleaning up. They are really good at blocking light for blinds. Not at the level of blackout curtains, but in my opinion you can easily sleep with them during the day. In general, my first thoughts are as follows. This is a great set of blinds, they met my hopeful expectations and exceeded a few. I love the 2 inch blinds because the large gaps between each slat seem to let in more light when open and as I mentioned they do a great job of light screening when closed. Highly recommended, my mum even bought a few sets after seeing how much I liked them, so I'm very happy with the easy installation because she will make me want to wear them for her too.
