They helped, but .: Safe accessories

I'm sure they helped solve the water leakage problem, but they have disadvantages. They dry *months* and leave a mark - I don't know what it is. I hung a few over a chair in a sheltered area outside and they dried quicker but some dripped onto the concrete below. Others I put on a plank of wood in the garage and they still haven't dried (since mid-May) and left some on the concrete floor leaving a hard, hard residue and staining the concrete. All of this suggests that they held back quite a bit of floodwater. I used a dozen 2ft bags (for the 5ft section that leaked) but it still needed some cleaning.
