Takes three seconds to install and works great with the replacement filter I ordered. Yes, it will work with a replacement filter for your fridge type. If your filter is not round enough to fit this cap, then this cap will not fit. I ordered this cover to replace the original cover which I accidentally broke. It's very understandable, but to make sure I don't break it again I made a youtube (d) video and installed it. A believable story.
