Review on Bridgestone Turanza T005 205/55 R16 91W summer by Wiktor Grzankowski ᠌

I bought a new T005 kit in size 205 55 16 for a Ford Focus 3 rest to replace the Michelin Energy Saver that was from the factory, and drove them for one summer season. Therefore, I will base my opinion on Turanza on comparison with old tires. What is good about Turanza is the stable behavior on the tracks - wet and dry. This is a great touring tire! At 150-170 on a flat road, you can not hold the steering wheel, at 200 the taxiing is very clear and predictable (the softer Michelin floated after 180). Hydroplaning is hard to achieve - maybe it's a little wear. Specially in the left lane, the roundabout drove the car into a rut with water at 120 km / h: the tire pops up, of course, but the controllability in order to jump out of the rut is preserved. The third important point is the strength of rubber. I drive carefully, but the disk somehow managed to bend in the summer. The tire was perfect. Here the advantages of Turanza end and the disadvantages begin. 1) Rigidity. When choosing rubber, I read reviews in which many wrote that T005 is much softer than T001. What kind of wooden then should be the first Turanza! ? The Focus has a fairly comfortable suspension, but these tires have turned the car into a stool. Moreover, on federal highways, where SMA is now being installed, but it is not being compacted with sufficient quality, the car trembles after 120 km / h. It's not about the suspension and not about balancing (I specifically checked it several times, including after rolling the tires), but about the oakiness of the rubber and the quality of the asphalt laying. 2) Steering wheel tightness in the zero zone at low speeds. The efforts applied to the steering wheel for maneuvering in the yards have increased. 3) The tire starts to sing early in corners. This was noted not only by me, but also by the Drive. Ru journalist on the BMW 218 test, on which this rubber comes from the factory. I don't know if it's a foolproof (out of control warning) or a feature of the rubber compound, but the tires speak up long before the Focus's suspension hits the mark.
