I usually make my own yogurt in small pots and a special incubator, but I decided to try making Greek yogurt at Instapot. Rather than wasting money on stretchers sold by Revain, I tried this gauze to see if I could do it. It worked great. I can strain 2 liters of fresh Instapot yogurt with a piece of this cloth using just a standard strainer and stainless steel bowl. For hygiene reasons, I boiled the cloth before using it and it still effectively strains the yoghurt. Whey almost did not mix with cottage cheese. I use the fabric 5 times before throwing it away but I could probably use more. Sieved yoghurt can be easily and cleanly separated from the tissue. To clean, simply wash in hot soapy water, rinse and dry. Boil in some water for 5-10 minutes before reusing.
