Excellent mesh size - does not lose much when cutting!

Excellent gauze! Doesn't lose much when clipped like other brands. Great for fermentation projects like sourdough, ginger beetle/kombucha and ginger brewing. Super fine mesh and excellent value for money!

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • There is nothing here

I like that it's unbleached

I mainly use it to drain excess liquid when making yogurt. This is exactly the right grid for it. The price is also acceptable. It's supposed to be washable, but the fabric frays a lot at the ends. I just throw it away and cut off another piece.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Minor issues

Excellent quality in Cheese Tools

This is the best gauze I have ever bought. I use it to cook soup - it's tightly meshed so nothing falls into the soup. When you cut it, almost no threads stick out that need to be removed. It's strong enough to be squeezed out. Highly recommended.

Pros
  • Everything great!
Cons
  • No form required

The price is much higher than in the store. Very nice, worked great.

We squeezed juice from it and made berry jelly. The berries were in the freezer, and I even thawed them in that one. Worked great, didn't loosen or crack after all the twisting and washed off perfectly. We can use it again. Very important.

Pros
  • Useful not only for its intended purpose
Cons
  • Crumpled

excellent quality for the kitchen and dining room

Cheaper gauze is mainly found in rubbish bins in discount stores, but not in this quality. Grade 90 is a much finer mesh than other cheap versions. It is also unbleached cotton fabric. This is great for a variety of culinary uses. Once you use good stuff, you realize that quality is worth the extra cost and is still very important.

Pros
  • Nicely
Cons
  • Weak set

Cauliflower dream

I bought this item specifically to strain cauliflower while cooking. I try to eat a low carb diet and include fresh and frozen cauliflower in my meals. Since cauliflower contains so much water I bought this cheesecloth to strain the water out and it works great! I basically cut out pieces as needed and reuse them. After sieving, I rinse the fabric in warm water and set it on a glass to dry. I've reused the same piece 4 times and still no tears or holes in the gauze. I would recommend this itemโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • Hard to say

Great for Greek yogurt

I usually make my own yogurt in small pots and a special incubator, but I decided to try making Greek yogurt at Instapot. Rather than wasting money on stretchers sold by Revain, I tried this gauze to see if I could do it. It worked great. I can strain 2 liters of fresh Instapot yogurt with a piece of this cloth using just a standard strainer and stainless steel bowl. For hygiene reasons, I boiled the cloth before using it and it still effectively strains the yoghurt. Whey almost did not mixโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Clarity

Ideal for bags of fresh herbs --

The fine mesh of this gauze is ideal for packaging a variety of fresh herbs used in soups and stews. This makes it so easy to extract leaves and stems in one step rather than looking for large chunks that can cause choking, especially bay leaves. The fabric is durable and doesn't tear easily. It is also much thinner than standard varieties, which cannot prevent smaller herb leaves from leaching out during cooking. I simply take a bunch of herbs, wrap them in a cloth, fold the ends into a pouch,

Pros
  • Holding My Fists
Cons
