I ordered shoes because I need a new pair of work shoes. Upon receipt, I noticed that the upper is a stretchy woven mesh material, so I couldn't wear it to work. The bottom is non-slip. After trying them on I found that I could wiggle my toes and move my legs - no limits. Yes! No break-in period required. Good to get out of the box. Definitely suitable as a casual hiking shoe with or without socks. Comfortable and cute. Now I will look for similar work shoes with leather uppers.
