As others have mentioned, this will not work if you have a case on your phone. I bought an extender and it wouldn't read the strip. I tried two different strips then took my case off and plugged it in directly and that one worked.Also, as others mentioned, read the fine print on what this will work with. I would give this product 5 stars except for the USB-C being too short for the phone when the case is on. I have used the old style with the headphone connector and that worked great. My new phone doesn't have a headphone jack so I was forced to buy the USB-C style Dario. When I first tried it, it didn't connect at all. Then I tried removing the protective case and it worked perfectly. So, ease of use is rated only 3 stars.

Love how compact and simple this kit is. The interface is well laid out and intuitive. It is small and convenient, but that's where it's pro's stop. The built in lancing device stopped functioning entirely with less than two weeks of normal use. The reading is good enough to give a general idea of where your numbers are but if you are needing the numbers to adjust a sliding scale this product does not give accurate enough readings for that. The reason for four stars is the inability to use the device directly with an armored case. I first tried to use an extension cable which inhibited reading the blood glucose although the machine recognized the strip insertion. I then got a Cellularize USB-C extension which was compatible with the device. I'm pre-diabetic and trying to really pin down my levels and work to keep on track so I decided to purchase this. I was so nervous that I wouldn't be able to use it but I'm so happy to report that this was easy to set up and easy to use. I love that everything conveniently fits into the case and it's a very small unit. The app is also great as it helps you track it and will over time give you an estimate of your AICI level. I highly recommend this monitor!

I have 2 of the devices. One that I keep at work and one that I keep at home. The one I keep at home is the newer of the two. I recently had to replace my phone. The older Dario works perfectly with the new phone. The newer Dario acts like it is going to work but does not read the strips. Then gives me a warning about acceptable phone types? I have contacted Dario via email and they do not respond. The phone is the new Pixel Pro 7. Pretty common.

I love it, very small, easy to use. Though I feel like some parts can be slightly refined to make the moving parts smoother. But overall very good.

I gave this blood glucose meter to my mom for Mother's Day. There just seems to be a lot of steps to this blood machine. You still have to carry a zip pack, for everything else you need. And it reads into your phone but you can't forward it on to your DR. It's not all I expected.
