I would definitely recommend the purchase, I don't think there is anything wrong with it.

It will serve your needs, I suppose. But, it serves little purpose as the only computer. Perfect for use on the web, as it requires zero setup time upon opening. No malware, Windows runs well. I required its Internet connectivity and intended to employ it with a Dell 24" external monitor set at a resolution of 1920 by 1200. Nevertheless, before purchasing, I skimmed and missed this: Resolutions supported on Samsung Chromebooks are: 480p (640x480), 576p (720x576 or 704x576), 720p (1024x720), 1080p (1920x1080), 640x480, 800x 600, 1680 x 1050, 1024 x 768 (effective resolution: 1024 x 720), 1440 x 900, and 1280 x 800 (effective resolution: 1280 x 720). Those. The highest resolution I can get is 1920x1080. My eyes hurt so much at this resolution that I was unable to get any work done. That's too bad. Despite owning several other laptops, an iPad, etc., I use a Chromebook every day. In some ways, the Chromebook is revolutionary. Google proposes that we get rid of the desktop computer and use only the display and keyboard. We'll eventually all agree that this is the best option, but for now, it's everyone for himself. In my opinion, it is perfect for the senior members of our family. They need a computer that is no more complex to use than a microwave; all they would have to do is turn it on, log into the web (but alas, there is no Skype).

Pros
  • It's bug-free, silent, has a large, comfortable keyboard (à la MacBook), and is available for immediate download.
Cons
  • Poor build quality, can't output at 1920 x 1200, and virtually worthless if you don't have access to the web.
