Review on AFA Tooling Truck and Trailer Ramp Kit: Effortlessly Load Lawn Mower, ATV, and More using 2 x 8 Lumber Ramp by Johnny Price

Revainrating 5 out of 5

This is fine if you're using 6/4 hardwood instead of pine.

Hardwoods and softwoods come in a variety of sizes when processed in nominal 2x8 sizes. These brackets are intended for mounting on S1S 6/4 size oak hardwood which is 1 3/8" (35mm) thick as shown by seller. Oak is stronger than pine therefore the ramp is more durable. Softwood pine scores 38 mm, although both are marked 1 1/2". Industrial practice only. If you go for the cheaper pine, as one user pointed out, just install it with a small gap, but the wood is flush with the metal countertop It's still solid but the rubber grips on the other end don't match the pine wood so no need to use them or shave the wood Hope this helps.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Almost never
