My one year old hamster loves his sand. She was potty trained almost immediately. She played, dug and threw herself into the bowl niche when I had to take her out to freshen up the sand. Then they sent me a jar instead of a box. I gave her a smaller bowl the last time she cleaned and noticed she doesn't play in it. I assumed it was the bowl, replaced it with one she liked and gave her a second bowl just for fun. I started noticing peeing on her bike. epic crowd. She had never written there before. I cleaned it everyday thinking it's just getting old. Then I noticed that she didn't go to the platform near the sand slabs to eat. She would dig and hide, only eating the food that was placed on the ground. She also started drinking about twice as much. They claim that the formulas don't change, but in fact it's gray garbage. It's not as smooth and soft as their old sand. My hamster hates it and when I found out I had to throw out 2 sealed containers. I'm lucky she's not sick or worse. I hate companies that settle for this kind of deception. Please do not buy. It is not worth. I took out the dishes and washed them and gave them soft pellet bedding until I could find a replacement and you know what? She jumped in the bowl and peed as soon as she woke up. THE OLD FORMULA DESERVES 5 STARS, THIS DOES NOT.
