I had a similar corner protector on a piece of furniture with very sharp top edge corners. They were matte plastic with a sticky tab that fell off with a light touch. I wasn't drawn to the whole idea of protecting the edges until recently when I had the idea of trying them on an outdoor gas grill that has corners so sharp they rip my expensive grill covers to bits if the Wind blows. I couldn't think of a way to solve this problem until I saw these, they are a lot more spherical in shape than the usual flat corner protectors I've seen meaning even in the strongest of winds the metal corners of my grill won out . Do not tear the cover. These things stick like glue and I think what I like best is that they are crystal clear so they don't detract from the stylish look of my grill. Other protectors I've bought were only four per pack and cost more than these, at 16 per pack I can find many other uses for them. Be careful when sticking the adhesive tabs onto the protectors, they can only move in a certain way and the three surfaces of the protectors are not all identical. Also be careful when gluing, the glue is very strong and sticks on contact. Position them carefully before letting them touch the surface.
